CAREER & LEADERSHIP COACHING · OTTAWA
New role. Big decision. A career that no longer fits.
Steady, practical coaching for leaders and professionals navigating change, so you can find your next move with clarity and confidence.
Whether it’s a new role, a big decision, or a career that no longer fits.
You don’t need it all figured out. You just need a place to start.
McGill Coaching offers career and leadership coaching based in Ottawa, working virtually with individuals and organizations across Canada and beyond. It’s for leaders and professionals facing change: a new role, a difficult transition, or a career that’s ready for its next chapter.
“A space to pause. To reflect.
To begin listening a little more closely.”
The Space In Between
What used to work doesn’t fit anymore. What’s next isn’t clear yet.
In my work, I think of this as a threshold: the space between what has been and what’s still taking shape. In change management, it’s often called the neutral zone. It’s the uncomfortable middle that most plans skip over.
It can feel uncertain. Frustrating, at times. Even a little lonely, especially when others are looking to you for answers.
You may be questioning your work, your confidence, your direction, or a role you’ve outgrown.
Coaching isn’t about rushing you out of this space or forcing a decision before you’re ready.
It’s a place to slow down. To notice what no longer fits, what still matters, and what deserves your attention now.
Then, when you’re ready, we turn that clarity into real decisions and practical next steps, at a pace that works for you.
This in-between space isn’t something to push through. It’s something to listen to and learn from, so your next step is the right one.
And from there, something new begins.
You Might Be Here If…
Something feels different, even if you can't name it yet.
You’ve stepped into a bigger role and it’s harder than anyone admitted.
- Work feels heavier or less energizing than it used to
Your organization is changing, and you’re leading people through something you’re still figuring out yourself.
You’re burnt out and need to decide what comes next, not just how to cope.
You’re good at your job, but you’re no longer sure it’s the right one.
Your confidence has taken a hit, and you want it back.
If any part of this feels familiar, coaching may be a supportive place to begin.

WHAT CHANGES
Most people don’t arrive with a clear plan. They leave with one.
You might come in with a decision to make, a role that’s stretching you, or just a sense that it’s time for something different. Wherever you start, the goal is the same: clarity you can act on.
Coaching Can Help You:
- Get clear on what you want next, and what you don’t
- Make a career decision you feel confident in
- Lead through change without losing yourself in it
- Rebuild confidence and trust your own judgment
- Have the conversations you’ve been avoiding
- Leave each session with a practical next step
The work is both reflective and practical. There’s space for insight, and support to move forward with clarity and momentum.
About Stephanie
I'm Stephanie McGill.
I’ve spent more than two decades inside organizations, leading learning and development in healthcare, guiding teams through change, and coaching leaders through some of their hardest moments. I’ve also navigated my own career transitions, so I know how disorienting the in-between can feel.
Today, I coach leaders and professionals through career decisions, new roles, burnout, self-doubt and change. My background in leadership development, change management and emotional intelligence means I understand the realities you’re facing. My coaching brings calm, steady presence to help you see them clearly.
Grounded in experience. Steady in presence. Focused on what’s next.
A Few Common Questions
You might be wondering…
Do I need to know what I want before starting?
No. Many people begin coaching in a place of uncertainty. You don’t need a clear goal — only a sense that something isn’t quite working, or a quiet curiosity about what might be possible.
Is it therapy?
No. Coaching focuses on reflection, clarity, and forward movement. It’s not a clinical service and doesn’t address mental health conditions. If you’re unsure whether coaching or therapy is the right fit, that’s worth exploring together.
Is this only for a career change?
Not necessarily. Sometimes the change is internal — a shift in how you see yourself, what you value, or how you want to show up. Career is often part of the conversation, but it’s rarely the whole picture.
Do you work only in Ottawa?
