About McGill Coaching

Coaching for Life's Threshold Moments

Through McGill Coaching and my signature approach, At the Threshold, I support people who are navigating transition, growth, uncertainty, and renewal. My coaching creates space to slow down, listen deeply, and explore what is emerging beneath the noise and busyness of everyday life.

Many of the people I work with are seeking clarity, confidence, direction, or simply a place where they can think out loud without judgment. Together, we explore challenges, uncover strengths, reconnect with values, and discover possibilities that may have been difficult to see alone.

I believe people are naturally resourceful, creative, and capable of finding their own answers.

My role is not to provide solutions or tell clients what they should do. Instead, I create the conditions where insight, awareness, and meaningful action can unfold, helping people move forward with greater clarity, intention, and self-trust.

About Stephanie

Coach, Learning Leader, and Lifelong Learner

I’m Stephanie McGill, a certified coach, leadership development professional, and lifelong learner with a passion for helping people grow through periods of change and transition.

For more than a decade, I’ve supported individuals, leaders, and teams in healthcare and service organizations through learning, development, change, and growth. Throughout my career, I have been drawn to the moments when people find themselves asking deeper questions about who they are, what matters most, and where they want to go next.

My coaching is informed by professional training in coaching, positive psychology, emotional intelligence, mindfulness, self-compassion, change management, adult learning, leadership development, and team coaching. I am currently working toward my Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential with the International Coaching Federation.

What inspires me most is witnessing the moment when a person begins to see themselves and their possibilities more clearly. Not because someone has given them the answer, but because they have discovered it for themselves.

As a coach, I strive to create a space that is calm, supportive, and thought-provoking. Clients often describe me as warm, thoughtful, curious, and easy to talk to. I ask meaningful questions, listen deeply, and encourage reflection that leads to greater awareness and intentional action.

My role is not to provide advice or tell you what to do.

My role is to walk alongside you as you discover your own path forward.

About Stephanie

A Little More Personally

I live in a small Ontario community with my two golden retrievers, Peach and Georgia, and my cat, Bernice, who firmly believes she should be involved in all important activities, including coaching calls, reading sessions, and naps.

I’m also a mom, a grandmother, a lifelong learner, and someone who is almost always enrolled in a course of some kind. I’ve always been curious about people, growth, and what helps us navigate life’s challenges with a little more grace and resilience.

Over the years, that curiosity has led me to explore leadership, emotional intelligence, change management, continuous improvement, positive psychology, self-compassion, coaching, and team development. More recently, I’ve been deepening my mindfulness and meditation practice and discovering how these approaches can help us become more present, grounded, and compassionate with ourselves and others.

When I’m not coaching, you can often find me reading, journaling, crocheting, spending time with family or adding another book to an already overflowing reading list. I love meaningful conversations, quiet moments of reflection, and learning something new. In many ways, my coaching practice grew out of those same interests and values.

Like many of the people I work with, I know what it feels like to navigate uncertainty, question what’s next, and stand at the threshold of a new chapter. Those experiences have taught me that growth is rarely a straight line. More often, it unfolds through small moments of awareness, unexpected insights, and the courage to take one step at a time.

Standing at a Threshold?

I strive to create a space where people can slow down, think deeply, reconnect with themselves, and move forward with greater clarity, self-trust, and compassion along the way.
